Job Description
Overview
The Site Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing quality programming and scheduling for assigned Monmouthcounty before and after school site. This Supervisor is responsible for the site environment communicating with parents students school administration when necessary as well as supervising and directing staff and students. The Site Supervisor must also demonstrate a commitment to our YMCA philosophy and core values caring honesty inclusion respect and responsibility. Supports Freehold Matawan Manalapan Middletown Colts Neck and 10 other Monmouth County school district partners.
Responsibilities
- Plan implement and supervise the schoolage curriculum with age and developmentally appropriate activities while observing and assessing the individual needs of the children.
- Supervise and direct the staff and assist in their onsite orientation and training.
- Develop the weekly schedule a monthly calendar of events which should be posted with all necessary licensing materials; Completing on site quality quick checks weekly.
- Take attendance daily and keep track of student absences.
- Assure that all activities are in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the YMCA as well as teaching the YMCA core values.
- Attend mandatory events such as Back to School Night Annual Staff meeting YKids meetings and training provided; PTA meetings when necessary Kindergarten orientations etc. throughout the year.
- Serve as a liaison to the school personnel specifically the principal and his/her designee and handle communication of studentrelated problems including behavior problems documenting in timely matter and sharing with your supervisor.
- Know and ensure that state regulations are maintained at your site.
- Report any suspected child abuse to the School Age Director. Document as necessary.
- Site Supervisor will supervise schoolage site assistants and aides assigned to their site.
Qualifications
- The incumbent must have a BA or BS in Education or a related field and/or at least 3 years experience in supervision and working with schoolaged children.
- The incumbent must be mature responsible and have experience in scheduling daily ageappropriate activities and special events.
- The Site Supervisor must also have CPR/First Aid/Epipen certification or acquire within 3 months after date of hire.
