We are seeking dynamic team players to meet the educational needs of the healthcare system. Currently the School of Nursing offers MN & MNNP BScN PN (Williams Lake only) and HCA programs.
The School of Nursing MNNP program seeks applications for a Nurse Practitioner bipartite tenure track position with a potential start date of April 1 2025 or as negotiated by both parties.
The successful candidate in a bipartite appointment will teach theory and practice courses in the Nurse Practitioner program within the School of Nursing and will engage in service to the university and community. Preference is for candidates with advanced nursing practice across the lifespan.
Ph.D. or other doctorates (preferred); Master of Nursing Nurse Practitioner Degree required
Must have a current license as a Nurse Practitioner and be eligible for BCCNM registration in good standing without limits or conditions
Current Three 3 years experience in the role of a Nurse Practitioner;
Working knowledge of legislation informing the practice of Nurse Practitioners;
Excellent communication skills and commitment to interprofessional care;
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a professional team;
Excellent health assessment clinical judgment analytical and problemsolving skills;
Demonstrated ability to respect diversity and use inclusive behaviour responding with sensitivity and selfawareness to the unique needs of graduate students including visible and nonvisible dimensions of diversity;
Prior exposure to teaching at a postsecondary educational institution is an asset; and
Experience teaching theory and clinical practice is an asset.
