OnsiteLocated in our 220000 square foot facility this role assembles a variety of exciting products including Flight and Aircrew training devices 360degree Visual Systems and Aircraft Maintenance Platforms to train the Military. Plans and performs a variety of mechanical or electromechanical assembly tests acrylic cutting sanding and inspection operations on various products in standard and nonstandard environments to maintain flow of work.
What You Will Do
- Reads interprets and follows blueprints diagrams engineering drawings specifications bills of materials and other written instructions.
- Operates hand tools electrical tools molding sanding/cutting of acrylic measuring equipment and light equipment.
- Maintains inventory of product in workstations.
- Performs quality work checks identifies product defects and records identified defects.
- Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Operates Fork Trucks and Overhead Cranes to load/unload material and finished products.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 15 of the year.Each trip duration could be up to one month.
- Works 100 onsite.
- This is a first shift role. Hours are typically 6 AM 3:00 PM.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
