POSITIONSUMMARY:
This positionsupports the work of the Y a leading nonprofit charitable organization committedto strengthening community through youth development healthy living and social responsibility. The GrantManagement Coordinator at the YMCA of Collier County stewards the Ys causepromoting the Y within the community. The Grant Management Coordinator alsoprepares submits and manages grant proposals and is responsibility for themanagement of the fundraising system processes and data in support of the Ysphilanthropic endeavors.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:
1. Coordinates with program and financeleaders to gather information for grants.
2. Researches potential funders (e.g.foundations corporations) and builds strong strategic relationships withcurrent and prospective partners inside and outside the Y
3. Effectively communicates community benefitand the Ys impact for all stakeholders (e.g. staff volunteers memberscommunity leaders)
4. Develops grant proposals to help fund theYs programs.
5. Maintains an efficient and effectivetracking and reporting system that supports the financial development effortsof the Y.
6. Establishes and manages a comprehensive process for timely and accurategrant evaluation quality compliance project and program fulfillment.
7. Reports the sources uses and management of donated funds toconstituents in order to preserve and enhance confidence in the organization.
8. Manages and implements an organized systemof communications internally and externally to provide stewardship to donorsregarding grant awards and the management and monitoring of the fundersrequirements for recognition.
9. Assists and/or leads fundraising events tocollect and enter donor information in the database and ensuring proper followup with thank yous etc are complete.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree communicationsor a related field or equivalent education/experience.
YMCA Team Leader certificationpreferred.
Three to four years ofsuccessful experience in grant management or equivalent experience.
Experience in a nonprofitenvironment is preferred.
Successful track record inapplying proven practices related to developing successful grant proposalsworking with institutional donors and the management of all related grantcompliance and reporting practices.
Knowledge/clear understandingof fundraising techniques and strategies.
Excellent verbal and writtencommunications skills particularly the ability to read analyze write andedit reports according to prescribed style/format and correspond with externalbusinesses and community members.
Ability to effectively presentinformation and respond to questions from groups of managers peersvolunteers customers and the general public.
Ability to meet deadlines aswell as the ability to collect data establish facts and draw validconclusions reason and solve problems.
Ability to develop and usespreadsheets and standard business software systems.
