About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defenceready clinical and support staff across 40 onbase locations ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality onsite medical care.

Join Sercos ADF Health Services team as an Aviation Medical Officer / General Practitioner and provide highquality medical care to Defence members at Cabarlah Clinic. Youll work in a modern wellequipped facility alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team.
About Williamtown Health Centre
Williamtown Health Centre is located 30km north of Newcastle at RAAF Base Williamtown Australias premier fighter pilot training base. The base is one of the busiest in New South Wales employing over 4500 people. The health centre provides primary medical aviation medical outpatient dental nursing physiotherapy mental health and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generallyMonFri (depending on role requirements).
Your Impact
We are seeking a Medical Officer / General Practitioner to join us in a Fixed Term part time capacity working Monday Wednesday Thursday and Friday.
As a Medical Officer AVMO youll make a positive impact by:
- You will be responsible for the delivery of medical services including aviationbased services such as fitness to fly assessments aviation medicals and aircrew clinical health management to patients in accordance with professional standards legislation and Defence Policies and Procedures.
- You will be required to provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO) Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager and Commanders of units.
You may be required to provide the services in either an outpatient setting or as inpatient care within a hospital or medical centre
What Youll Need
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
- FRACGP FACRRM or Vocational Registration
- Minimum 2 years full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years
- Australian Citizen for Baseline Security Clearance requirements
- Basic military aviation medicine course or equivalent. This includes:
- Australian Defence Force Aviation Medical Officer Course;
- United States Air Force Primary Aerospace Medicine Course US Navy or US Army basic courses; or
- equivalent military AVMED course as determined by Commanding Officer AVMED
- civilian AVMED course with appropriate military experience as determined by Commanding Officer AVMED
