Located at the corner of University and Mill Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU amplifies Tempes revitalized downtown area and brings some of the largest conference and meeting space to the city. The hotel features 330 guest rooms four dining outlets a spacious pool deck retail and almost 36000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space along with expansive views of the ASU campus and the Tempe cityscape. Job Description
Omni Tempe Hotels Salt & Gila pool bar is looking for a parttime Pool Bartender. If youre into mixing quality cocktails chatting with people and keeping the energy up we want you on our team. Youll spend your days by the pool making drinks serving guests and helping everyone have a great time.
Weekend availability is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of craft cocktails beverages and menu items with precision and creativity adhering to the Omni Tempe Hotels high standards of quality.
- Engage with guests to provide a memorable experience offering recommendations and personalizing interactions to meet guest preferences.
- Ensure the bar and serving areas are clean organized and wellstocked maintaining a safe and inviting environment for guests.
- Handle cash and payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage bar inventory including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Comply with all local state and federal liquor laws.
- Work flexibly across bartending and serving roles ensuring seamless service at the Salt & Gila pool bar.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender and server ideally in a highvolume hotel or resort setting.
- Exceptional knowledge of mixology including craft cocktail preparation and presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a knack for engaging with a diverse range of guests.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Availability to work weekends.
- Current food handlers card and alcohol service certification as per local state or federal regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality or related field is a plus.
- Must be able to lift push pull place and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
