- A University degree in Public Administration Public Policy Business Administration Law or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of relevant and diversified work experience including strategic and operational business planning policy development and application project management research data analysis and reporting and stakeholder engagement.

In this important professional role with the City of Edmontons Business Licensing team you will be responsible for developing and supporting policies and programs of the City of Edmonton Business Licence Bylaw 20002.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth application and interpretation of bylaws providing crucial support to businesses and other stakeholders. You will be a problemsolver a mentor and a collaborator contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our licensing processes. What will you do
- Provide escalation and issues management support to internal and external customers for complex or politicallysensitive permit and licence applications and inquiries;
- Consult with regulatory agencies on safetysensitive business licence applications and renewals managing important Service Level Agreements and relationships with those agencies
- Lead small to moderate policy and bylaw development projects.
- Collaborate on and provide subject matter expertise for reports to Council.
- Provide advice and mentorship to the Business Licence Service Team
- Assist in the development and maintenance of bylaws and related policies and procedures
