Registered Dietitian
Fulltime
The Registered Dietitian (RD) represents the key contact with guests to assess nutritional and dietary needs make recommendations and work collaboratively with client representatives (especially nursing/medical staff).
The RD works closely with our Dining Services Director and Team Members to deliver those guests needs to high standards.
The RD is the leader in communicating and implementing new clinical systems and programs both with clients and Dining Services Director ensuring that all required statutory actions and documentation are consistently delivered.
The RD works with the Interdisciplinary Team and Dining to ensure that nutritional requirements are incorporated into dining production and operations while providing and assisting in the overall planning recommendations documentation and control of resident/patient nutritional needs in the facility to the requirements of company standards policies and statutory requirements.
Essential Functions and Key Tasks
Assessing and monitoring the nutritional needs of residents according to established schedules and referral protocols. The RD will keep the physician and appropriate facility staff informed of the nutritional status of residents.
Participate in MDS process the interdisciplinary plan of care and in documentation of nutritional care in the medical record.
Participation in developing and implementing an individualized plan of care to meet the nutritional needs of each resident.
The RD assists in developing the facility menu for Assisted Living and Long Term Care is available to make changes to the facility menu to meet the needs and preferences of the facilities residents and will approve the menu to assure that the menu meets the nutritional needs of residents.
Works collaboratively with dining services department
Provide nutrition education for residents and families as needed and requested.
Creates and maintains documentation
Maintains client/family relationships
Updates and applies professional knowledge
Supports the Independent Living Assisted Living and Memory Care residents as needed; consults education workshops chart review and assessments as determined by leadership
Sets and communicate objectives communicate and reinforce high standards in all areas monitors performances and addresses issues.
Education and Experience:
Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) and licensed in the state of NC (LDN)
Nutrition/Dietetics degree as required successful completion of Dietetic Internship or equivalent.
Must have 2 years of clinical experience in senior living skilled nursing facility assisted living rehabilitation and/or acute care environment
Prefer ServSafe Managers Certification and Allergen Certification

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree or equivalent i.e. advanced training pertinent to the position requirements.
