Ready Mix Batcher

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a skilled position requiring a thorough understanding of the ready mix concrete business. Operator controls the process to produce concrete from raw ingredients and additives according to predetermined specifications using computer batching software. Verifies correct admixtures are used in correct dosages and provides verification that the concrete batched meets the specifications established by company and customer.

This position requires day to day interaction with other employees.

This opportunity includes a $5000 sign on bonus to be paid incrementally within your first year of employment.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

• Must be able to produce concrete products to required specifications
• Communicate with central dispatch regarding daily driver and equipment status
• Verify each load for yardage mix added products and all other quality information
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Receive and inspect raw materials
• Keep required records and logs
• Oversee the cleaning of the central mix plant
• Monitor inventories in the plant. (Cement admixtures)
• Ability to perform moderately complex mathematical equations as applicable
• Thorough working knowledge of computer/batching system
• Define problems collect data and communicate with management
• Must have quality as a core value and work well as a team player

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualified candidate must have 57 years experience in Ready Mix industry or similar industry; previous training in readymix concrete fundamentals is also preferred but not required.

Must have excellent communication skills ability to handle multiple tasks and be computer literate.

• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating improving and adhering to health safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
