SMT Technician Starlink

SMT TECHNICIAN (STARLINK)

At SpaceX were leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink the worlds most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the worlds largest satellite constellation and is providing fast reliable internet to 4M users worldwide. We design build test and operate all parts of the system thousands of satellites consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing and the software that brings it all together. Weve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlinks potential global impact and are looking for bestinclass technicians to help maximize Starlinks utility for communities and businesses around the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate PCB assembly machines to manufacture circuit boards including but not limited to: SMT placement reflow paste printer Conformal coat masking epoxy application coating optical and xray inspection.
• Component kitting and measurement.
• Run thermal and functional testing of electronic hardware including setup instrumentation test teardown and troubleshooting.
• Support the development of prototype test capabilities for component development and life tests.
• Support engineering to drive the root cause of production yield issues and improve delivered avionics hardware quality. Thoroughly document failure modes and use data to continually improve quality.
• Build small electrical subassemblies
• Ensure production equipment is maintained and calibrated via scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Manage schedule priorities and independently execute work to meet company deliverables.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school degree or equivalency certificate.
• 1 years of handson work experience with electromechanical tools assembly or testing.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of experience in electromechanical assembly integration or mechanical assembly experience.
• Associate degree.
• Demonstrated ability to read interpret and work from drawings controlled documentation and processes such as layout drawings mechanical drawings assembly procedures/work instructions; schematics engineering drawings and parts list.
• Able to proficiently use a PC Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite ERP and related programs.
• Experience with electrical wiring.
• Soldering Proficiency including IPC and/or JSTD certification.
• Experience setting up and running tests and experiments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Willing to work all shifts overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times 1st shift: 5 AM 3:30 PM; 2nd shift: 3:30 PM 2 AM.
• Repetitive assembly operations standing for long periods of time climbing up and down ladders bending grasping sitting pulling pushing stooping and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
• Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Starlink Production Technician/Level 1: $22.00 $26.50/hour
Starlink Production Technician/Level 2: $25.00 $31.00/hour
Starlink Production Technician/Level 3: $29.00 $37.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a casebycase basis and may vary based on the following considerations: jobrelated knowledge and skills education and experience.
