Job Description
With an emphasis on project management the Associate Communications Director will support overseeing and executing established workflows for the divisions units/initiatives. They will serve as an extension of the teams they work with acting as a goto resource who executes and alongside the team manages a large volume of fastpaced studentfocused projects centered on communication plans/campaigns. This position manages tactics that span digital social print email and web channels working to increase visibility/awareness of SE distinct services programs and events with key audiences. The Associate Director works to execute established workflows/tasks pertaining to the creation of project tasks copyediting in addition to internal/external approval systems and University guidelines such as the Editorial Style Guide. Under the direction of the SE director of communications and marketing this position will support the coordination and alignment of the divisions efforts with the Division of Marketing and Communications overarching brand direction alongside the SE studentfocused design guidelines and overarching calendars. They will directly supervise one coordinator and will support leading the Student Experience Division internship team as well as collaborates with central communications/marketing to ensure all aligns with the central communication/marketing plans content strategy & editorial calendar.
Responsibilities
In close collaboration with divisional teams initiate execute and document existing Student Experience Division communication strategies and initiatives across competing deadlines. Manage and develop communication materials for use across web social email video and digital channels and print ensuring they are completed on time. Lead the Student Experience Communication team project management system with responsibilities of managing partner and communication team generated ticket requests assigning tickets to internal team members and to self managing tickets throughout their workflow lifecycle and across competing deadlines and in finalization documenting and storing all project files and actions. Deliver on the divisions editorial calendar by driving content ideas that highlight the student experience through of Syracuse University News press releases. Directly supervise one coordinator and support leading the Student Experience Division internship team.
