CMAResponsibilities
Assist residents with daily activities (bathing dressing toileting mobility eating) while promoting dignity and independence.Monitor and report changes in resident condition including behavior appetite and participation in activities.Respond promptly to call bells and emergencies.Administer and document medications accurately following safety protocols.Maintain cleanliness in resident suites and common areas.Support meal service and report significant changes in appetite.Engage residents in activities and social interactions.Ensure confidentiality of resident information and follow all hygiene and infection control procedures.Perform basic health checks (blood pressure pulse temperature).Complete other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Working experience at senior care facilities
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Requires a Certified Medication Assistant(CMA) certification
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis and physically able to help residents who require physical assistance
- Read write speak and understand the English language
