Position Purpose

To ensure that the design of JCB products perform to the targets set out by Sales and Marketing and Design Engineering. Validate machine systems and certify that the design and performance meet or exceed the relevant international standards.

Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

• Assembly and maintenance of prototype / test vehicles
• Ensure that new and current designs meet the intended fit form and functionality intended by Engineering.
• Component and test point fitting to support Test and Development Engineers
• Health and Safety and Housekeeping of the workshop
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Time spent working with heavy offhighway equipment
• Prior experience with electronic diagnostic equipment
• Experience of hydraulic electronic and mechanical systems

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree in technology relating to offhighway or onhighway machine maintenance

• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Good analytical skills with an ability to diagnose problems
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
• Detail oriented
• Creative problemsolving skills
• Flexibility with work activities
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
• Competent offhighway machinery operator
• Work with minimal supervision

Job Conditions

• Both office environment and manufacturing/factory environment
• Subject to noise and temperature changes
• Must be willing and able to travel both continental and intercontinentally

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to 12hour shifts / 7 days a week
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs frequently and/or move up to 35lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
• Must be able to perform continuous repetitious physical activities. These activities may involve fine movements or large motions
• Must be able to grasp/pinch small items reach out and up and turn wrist
• Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed
• Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force
• Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending stooping climbing kneeling and standing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures and dusty environment
