General Information:

The Department of Philosophy & Religion is seeking one or more parttime instructors for Fall 2025 teaching one or more of the following courses:
PHIL 101: Introduction to Philosophy
PHIL 120: Critical Thinking
PHIL 150: Ethical Reasoning
REL 101: Religions of the World
REL 102: Religion Spirituality and the Meaning of Life

Duties and Responsibilities:

The instructor will deliver courses in person on the campus of James Madison University. Duties are for the academic semester and include course preparation lecturing leading discussion grading and holding weekly office hours.

Qualifications:

At least a masters degree in the subject to be taught.

Conditions of Employment:

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
