The role:

We are seeking litter patrol workers for our Youth Litter Patrol (YLP) Program! The program was founded in 1977 to help clean up the state highway right of way. Litter crews are made up of crew members and crew leaders. The crews primarily pick up litter along state highways although other tasks may be assigned. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors with a team and have a role in maintaining state highways help the environment and learn about career opportunities at ODOT!

We welcome applications from anyone 16 years of age or older for crew member positions and 18 years of age or older for crew leader positions.

Our first application screening is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Thursday May 1 2025. We encourage interested applicants not to delay in applying. Note: names will be selected in a random fashion for interviews. Due to the volume of applicants you may not be contacted if you are not selected for an interview.

This job posting is for temporary positions and does not include the typical benefits available for permanent employees.
