Job Description

Job Summary

  • TheArea Facilities Manage is responsible for supporting all property maintenancefor each asset within a given area by providing emergency support as well astrouble specialized maintenance related challenges.
  • AFMmust be hyper focused on inspecting and troubleshooting any potential riskmanagement related issues (including guest or associate safety issues).
  • TheAFM will work closely and communicate with RDO as well as individual GMs tosolve and troubleshoot asset related defects that will require renovationrepairs replacement or reconstruction.
  • AFMwill train property engineers as well as inspect property PreventativeMaintenance efforts to ensure that each properties goal is being met.
  • AFMwill adhere as well as inspect periodically to ensure that property engineersare adhering to company mandated risk management SOPs logging of mechanicalsand other property related equipment in (Quore) database.
  • TheAFM will assist with training and onboarding or property engineers as well assupport the roll out of any area initiatives or process change relating to thecare and protection of the asset.
  • TheAFM will walk each property on a weekly basis to assess the need for anyspecial projects along with General Managers and RDO.
  • Basedon RDO and General managers judgement AFM will be directed to and assignedpriority projects.
  • Thearea Facilities Manager will work closely with outside vendors to ensure thatthe contract is completed on time and to satisfaction when deemed appropriateby the RDO.
  • TheAFM will also service as a subject matter expert at times when projects (suchas the building of a fence) are being priced appropriately.
  • TheAFM will work with all GMs to ensure fire and elevator safety certification aswell as HVAC preventative maintenance is timely and up to county and statestandards.


Additional Duties that AFM willundertake:

  • Operatewithin property budgets at all area business units.
  • Assistall GMs in given area meet monthly quarterly and annual Preventativemaintenance goals.
  • Be oncall to trouble last minute maintenance issues (such as water leaksbroken pipes broken windows broken lock HVAC related issues)
  • Inspectregularly all fixtures fittings and appliances to ensure compliance tostandards and take action as necessary to conform to standard.
  • Maintaingood communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with externalcustomers and suppliers.
  • Ensureongoing training.
  • Managestaff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Wellversed with property (s) mechanicals and systems laundry equipment in roomequipment public area equipment boiler room/ hot water equipment exteriorequipment including property sprinkler and camera systems.
  • Tosuccessfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude behaviorsskills and values that follow:
  • Maintenanceexperience including Preventative Maintenance and skilled labor.
  • Asuccessful track record of managing a large team.
  • Ahigh school certificate or equivalent
  • Highlevel of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities
  • Excellentleadership interpersonal and communication skills
  • Committedto delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Abilityto work under pressure.

  • Flexibilityto respond to a range of different work situations.
  • Proficiencyat an intermediate level with computers and computer programs includingMicrosoft Office

  • Abilityto train and develop standard operating procedures.
  • Itwould be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the followingcapabilities and distinctions:
  • Familiarwith Property Management Systems

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma. Higher leveleducation preferred.
  • 3 years experience in the hospitalityindustry with a minimum of 2 years at the supervisory level
  • Must have excellent communications andinterpersonal skills.
  • Must work 50hour work week and be willing to work weekends as required
  • Adhere to A & R Hospitalitys missionvision and value statements.
  • HVAC certification plumbing and Electricalcertification preferred.
