We are currently working on Project ETHOS a new freetoplay 3rd person roguelike hero shooter and an exciting evolution on the genre!
Who you are:
Were seeking a Senior UI Artist who has a deep understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of user interface design. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio that demonstrates a keen eye for detail a solid grasp of user experience principles and the ability to translate complex design challenges into intuitive and visually stunning solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the look and feel of the game enhancing the player experience and elevating our product.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement visually appealing userfriendly UI mockups and assets that align with the games artistic direction and design philosophy.
- Collaborate closely with Game Designers UX Designers and other team members to conceptualize iterate and develop UI throughout all stages of the projectfrom early concepts to inengine integration and final polish.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior UI Artists overseeing artistic decisions and ensuring smooth implementation across the project.
- Partner with stakeholders to create and maintain a cohesive UI style guide and Design System.
- Establish and document UI art best practices and workflows continuously optimizing team efficiency and quality.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new tools actively researching ways to enhance the UI design process and elevate the teams output.
Requirements:
- 4 years of proven experience in creating highquality UI for interactive entertainment with a strong understanding of usercentered design principles.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate with other team members.
- Experience with visual tools such as Figma Photoshop Illustrator and After Effects or similar software.
- Solid experience working within game engines (Unreal Engine Unity or other proprietary/commercial engines) with an understanding of the associated production pipelines.
Relevant experience:
- Knowledge of inengine UI materials and asset implementation is a significant plus.
- Experience with motion graphics animation and UIrelated visual effects is a plus.
- A working knowledge of 3D design principles.
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $110000 and $150000 per year. However base pay offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates such as jobrelated knowledge skills experience and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a bonus and/or equity awards in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired employee will be in an atwill position and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
