Job Summary
Ensures safe condition and operation of electrically powered equipment through testing and inspection. Troubleshoots and repairs general electronic equipment. Manages 3D printing equipment and assists with 3D printing projects.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the general assembling inspecting troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic and electrical equipment at the University including the hospital. Keeps updated safety and maintenance logs on all electricallypowered and mechanical equipment worked on. Prepares records of time and materials expended in the performance of assigned duties. Makes recommendations for improvements in maintenance procedures and schedules used. Assists other employees in the maintenance and operation of electronic/electrical equipment. Work Environment and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Office environment. Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Sitting hearing listening talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing) walking. Seldom: Bending reaching overhead.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of vocational and electronic training with an emphasis on basic electronic systems and equipment or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. Must have demonstrated human relations skills and be able to work independently.
