Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Job Captain / Project Manager with experience in singlefamily and townhome residential architecture. This individual will play a key role in managing design and documentation through all phases of development from schematic design to construction documents and coordination. The ideal candidate is detailoriented organized and confident leading projects and coordinating with consultants clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of design and construction drawings for singlefamily and townhome projects.
- Coordinate with consultants clients and team members to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Manage and track project schedules milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to building codes zoning regulations and design standards.
- Participate in design development and technical detailing.
- Oversee permitting processes and manage plan check responses.
- Provide quality control for drawing sets and documentation.
- Support and mentor junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture.
- 5 years of experience in residential architecture preferably with a focus on singlefamily and townhomes.
- Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of residential woodframe construction.
- Excellent organizational communication and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local codes permitting and construction documentation.
- Must be able to work full time from the Vienna VA office
