What Youll Be Doing as a Chemistry Teacher

As a Chemistry Teacher you will deliver engaging challenging and interactive lessons that spark curiosity in students and help them develop a deep understanding of chemistry. You will teach across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 ensuring students gain the skills and knowledge to succeed in their exams and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver HighQuality Lessons: Provide engaging Chemistry lessons that inspire students and deepen their understanding of scientific principles.

• Curriculum Development and Delivery: Teach Chemistry in line with the national curriculum adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

• Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students progress in Chemistry providing constructive feedback and developing strategies to improve their learning.

• Promote Science Engagement: Encourage students to participate in extracurricular science activities clubs and events to further their interest in Chemistry.

• Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other Chemistry Teachers to share ideas resources and best practices fostering a supportive and collaborative department.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a qualified Chemistry Teacher who is passionate about their subject and dedicated to creating a positive engaging classroom environment.

• Qualifications: A degree in Chemistry (or a related field) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) are essential for this role.

• Experience: While we welcome applications from newly qualified Chemistry Teachers experience in teaching Chemistry at GCSE and Alevel is preferred.

• Passion for Chemistry: You should have a real passion for Chemistry and a desire to share this enthusiasm with your students.

• Collaborative and Supportive: You will work as part of a team of Chemistry Teachers so being a team player is essential. We value collaborative working resource sharing and ongoing professional development.
