ABOUT THE ROLE
The Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing the reservations process and optimizing the department’s operations to drive revenue enhance the guest experience and ensure seamless coordination with all departments. This role demands a detailoriented leader with expertise in SynXis and Opera a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality standards.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Maximize room revenue by ensuring all Reservation Agents have comprehensive knowledge of room categories hotel services and rate structures.
- Oversee daily reservations functions including inventory control group blocks cutoff dates rate restrictions and system integrity.
- Manage relationships with thirdparty distribution channels optimizing conversion rates and ensuring rate parity across platforms.
- Develop and analyze daily weekly monthly and quarterly reports on occupancy revenue trends and market performance to drive informed decisionmaking.
- Maintain strong communication with Sales Catering/Events and Accounting teams to ensure seamless group and transient reservations.
- Ensure the efficient use of SynXis and Opera maintaining system accuracy and training team members on best practices.
- Uphold the highest standards of guest service handling VIP reservations and resolving escalated guest inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
- Train mentor and oversee the Reservations team fostering a culture of performance accountability and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- 3 years of reservations or revenue management experience preferably in a luxury hotel setting with increasing leadership responsibilities.
- Proficiency in SynXis and Opera is required; strong command of Microsoft Word Excel and reporting tools.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with guests colleagues and leadership.
- Understanding of revenue management principles distribution channels and sales strategies to optimize hotel performance.
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
