About DCOIL: DCOIL DPG Center for Occupational and IndustryLinked Learning is dedicated to fostering global collaboration and cultural exchange through innovative educational initiatives. Guided by the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam DCOIL aims to bridge boundaries and nurture a shared vision for a harmonious and interconnected world.
Position Overview: The Director of DCOIL will serve as the Academic Head of the organization providing visionary leadership to drive excellence in crossborder learning collaboration and innovation. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in fostering partnerships advancing academic and cultural exchange and ensuring the highest standards of education and research within DCOIL s mandate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Academic Leadership:
- Develop and implement academic strategies that align with DCOIL s vision and objectives.
- Oversee the design delivery and evaluation of crossborder educational programs.
- Promote interdisciplinary research and global collaboration among partner institutions.
- Strategic Planning and Management:
- Formulate and execute longterm plans to establish DCOIL as a global leader in crossborder education.
- Manage budgets resources and operations to ensure optimal functioning of the organization.
- Partnership Development:
- Build and sustain relationships with leading academic institutions industry partners and governmental bodies.
- Represent DCOIL at national and international forums to promote its mission and programs.
- Team Development:
- Lead mentor and inspire a diverse team of academics researchers and administrative staff.
- Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous learning.
- Event Oversight:
- Provide strategic direction for events such as the crossborder student meet and other academic or cultural exchanges.
- Ensure the successful of initiatives that embody the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
- Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards in all academic programs and activities.
- Report to the governing board on organizational performance and milestones.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: PhD from a toptier institution preferably with specialization in areas relevant to crossborder education or management.
- Experience: Minimum of 25 years of relevant experience including:
- Leadership roles in top Bschools or similar academic institutions.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing innovative academic programs.
- Significant experience in fostering global partnerships and collaborations.
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and decisionmaking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and networking skills.
- Ability to lead large teams and work in multicultural environments.
Desirable Attributes:
- Deep understanding of global education trends and emerging skills for Industry 4.0.
- Experience in organizing largescale events and managing diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for fostering cultural exchange and advancing the philosophy of The world is one family.
