Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Storage & OpenShift Administrator focused on upgrading CSI to CSM in a Red Hat OpenShift environment integrated with Dell EMC infrastructure (PowerMax & Unity). The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Kubernetes CSI/CSM upgrades and handson experience with enterprise storage systems.
A Storage Resident may perform the following over the duration of the engagement:
Manage Dell EMC Storage infrastructure.
Perform daily provisioning (SAN) configuration tasks on storage and Fiber channel switch (Physical Connectivity to be managed by Customer).
Allocate storage to specific server/application as per MCX requirement
Participate in the planning approval and implementation of approved Change Management requests
Manage replication through SRDF and help in DR planning and procedures
Manage and support Dell EMC SAN for all ongoing activities.
Daily health monitoring of Data Domain SAN Switch Brocade router PMAX Storage.
Inventory management of all EMC infra
Assist in Patch management for Dell EMC Infra (DD SAN Switch Brocade & Storage) as per Dell EMC recommendation.
Issue followup and resolution with EMC team for timely closure of all EMC related Live issues.
Weekly status reporting
Capacity and storage reporting
Troubleshooting and resolution
Rootcause analysis
Storagemanagement documentation
Storageoperation integration
Microcode patch and OS upgrade for Storage SAN Switch and Brocade Routers as per EMC recommendation.
DR mock drill as per MCX requirement
Reverse replication during Live trading operations from DR site
Sharing Best Practices
Anything else from above in out of scope.
CSI to CSM upgrade/Migration as per assessment report
Managing the task like CSI/CSM upgrade basic troubleshooting (which involve checking pod status why pod are showing loop back error & any type adhoc request)
Requirements
Technical Environment:
OpenShift Versions: 4.11 4.15
CSI Driver: v2.5 v2.9
Storage Systems: PowerMax 4 units) Unity 2 units)
Required Qualifications:
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) Mandatory
Handson experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) including pod deployment and image registry configuration
Indepth understanding of CSI/CSM architecture and upgrades
Experience with Dell EMC storage platforms (Unity PowerMax)
Knowledge of SAN infrastructure and tools (Brocade FCIP Routers)
Familiarity with SRDF and disaster recovery workflows
Strong troubleshooting skills for storage and clusterrelated issues
