On behalf of our SwishData Corporation we are seeking a presales Application Performance Engineer for immediate hire. The successful candidate will design enable implement and assist with selling Observability solutions for Swish Datas Performance Engineering Practice Area. Observability technologies of primary interest include Dynatrace Elastic ScienceLogic and Riverbed (Aternity); and IT Infrastructure vendors such as Red Hat HashiCorp GitLab Harness VMWare Tanzu and AWS. This position requires knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep. Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering DevSecOps Application Performance Management (APM) and software troubleshooting are desired. Experience with observing and troubleshooting microservices containerized and cloudbased environments are desired. To be effective this position candidates should have broad exposure in all aspects of IT Infrastructure and be comfortable interfacing with technical management as well as handson engineers.
Successful candidates will need to be familiar with designing service offerings assessing client operations and facilitating meetings. We are looking for an engineer who feels comfortable in a presales role as well as handson engineering.
Key focus area is: Observability / Site Reliability Engineering
Job Responsibilities:
Work with Account Manager/Sales Team to develop customer relationship and solutions and assist in overall sales process
Meet with Customers and Collect Customer Requirements
Advise accounts and clients on enterprise security architecture and operational excellence
Lead the technical sale and services
Create and deliver customer facing presentations and solution demos
Lead customer architecture and operational conversations
Create highlevel solution designs/architecture and present to customers
Create Bill of Materials (BOM) & configurations for full solution deployments to include the build and scoping of professional services
Deliver implement and validate solution offerings both remotely and in a customer environment
Become the customers trusted advisor
Assist with creation and optimization of Observability Performance Engineering and IT Infrastructure service offerings
Requirements
Job Requirements:
10 years IT experience; Domain competence in a least two disciplines of Performance Engineering Application Architecture Infrastructure Management Cloud Migration Virtualization/Containers DevSecOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
Fullstack knowledge is highly desired
Understand and be conversant about company its solutions and product strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats
Working knowledge of continuous improvement and culture development
Clear understanding of presales engineering support and the skills and responsibilities of an AM and SE team
Content creation and public speaking and presenting skills are critical for success
Proven track record of successful customer site deployment testing and operational support
Education typically requires (BS/BA (CS/EE) or STEM equivalent graduate degree preferred
Vendor Certification in Dynatrace Elastic or similar technology are highly desirable
Experience in native cloud development/deployment containers legacy to cloud migration is highly desirable
Experience in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) is highly desirable
Certifications including ITIL Red Hat (Ansible/OpenShift) VMware DevSecOps pipeline products and other related vendor certifications are desirable
Ability to obtain and hold a Secret clearance required (Current Active Clearance highly desirable)
