The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is seeking locums to fill schedule gaps..
The Timmins and District Hospital is a 225bed district hospital serving a local population of 41000 and a catchment area of 110000. Timmins is located in Northeastern Ontario andis a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital and offers a full range of Medical Surgical Critical Care Maternal/Child Long Term Care and Mental Health Services.
The department has a Level II nursery with approximately 600 annual deliveries. The hospital also staffs oncall Pediatricians and provides excellent access to diagnostics.
Remuneration consists of a combined stipend of $2252.80/day as per HFO Guidelines for the Northern Specialist Locum Program.
Your traveling expenses of airfare and/or mileage local car rental accommodations and a travel stipend will be covered.
Position Requirements
Candidates must:
- have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- be licensed to practice as an OB/GYN in the Province of Ontario.
- have Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage.
- have an independent practice license with the CPSO.
- have an active OHIP billing number.
- possess excellent clinical skills.
- have a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care.
