Job Description
As a Senior Robotics Engineer on Ventions Applications team you will be responsible for designing building and testing robotics solutions which leverage Ventions hardware automation and software ecosystem as well as our partners. You will work handson with robots on a daily basis and with multiple leading robot brands such as FANUC Universal Robots and Doosan. You will work closely with Automation Engineers Electrical Engineers Mechanical Engineers and Robotics Engineers from Ventions core product teams.
The Senior Robotics Engineer is called to work in various phases of a product from earlystage prototyping with a marketing intent to latestage development for client and product milestones. More specifically you will:
- Design build test and characterize robotic solutions leveraging Ventions ecosystem.
- Work handson with robots of multiple brands on a daily basis.
- Inform the core product roadmap by creating prototype and earlyversion components alongside the Mechanical Hardware and Automation Hardware teams to broaden the scope of Ventions productized Applications and overall product offering.
- Support presales teams with feasibility testing of client projects and demos with equipment in the Applications Lab and with robot simulation tools.
- Support postsales teams in the development and delivery of earlymaturity Applications.
- Assist in the early drafting of documentation for Applications (Design Guides Integration/Assembly Manuals Installation Manuals User Manuals).
Qualifications :
- Minimum 58 years of onthejob experience
- Handson experience deploying automated or robotic solutions
- Experience with major robot brands including Universal Robots Doosan Fanuc Motoman (Yaskawa) ABB and KUKA
- University degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering Engineering Systems and Computing Robot Technology or related industry experience
- Experience with programming languages (ideally Python but ok with C C# VB etc.
- Knowledge of ROS is a strong asset
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (ex: Modbus/TCP Modbus/RTU Ethernet/IP)
- Knowledge of design and safety standards for automated equipment
