Job Description
Job Overview:
The Linde Gas United States (LGUS) Hydrogen (HyCO) division of Linde Inc. is currently seeking an Intern Production Technician at the Whiting IN hydrogen / CO2 production facility.
The intern will be trained and developed towork sidebyside with the plants current Production Technicians.You will aid in operating the equipment associated with multiple Hydrogen reformers a CO2 removal / liquefaction plant and various distribution systems.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include:
Adjustments to process variables - Startup and shutdown of process equipment
- Preparing equipment for maintenance work including lockout tagout
- Correctly and safely permitting maintenance work
- Conducting quality checks for merchant products
- Monitoring equipment performance.
Must know when to call qualified operators when completing assigned duties.
Working extended hours and/or weekends holidays and callins may be available.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Required. - Enrolled in college working towards at least an Associates degree in Process Technology or other related field is preferred
- Plant Operations experience a plus.
