Job Description
CentraCare Long Prairie seeks a Health and Wellness Intern to perform duties within Vitality Wellness and within CentraCare Long Prairie Rehabilitation Department. The priority will be to assist in coordination of programs and services to promote healthy lifestyles enhance quality of life and support wellbeing through the Six Dimensions of Wellness; Physical Occupational Emotional Intellectual Spiritual and Social WellBeing. Intern will work with clients and assist with patients to provide comprehensive fitness assessments and health consultations develop safe and effective individualized exercise programming be an instructor for group exercise classes and provide highlevel orientation of gym equipment to new members. This role will also assist in the creation and implementation of Vitality Wellness member engagement contribute to innovative marketing ideas develop health newsletter articles and assist with community outreach events and activities. Further expectations include community networking and contribution to designing a corporate employee wellness program.
Schedule & Pay:
- Temporary Summer position until 9/15/2025
- 80 hours every two weeks
- MondayFriday 8:00am4:30pm
- $16.00/hour
Qualifications:
- Must be a postsecondary student enrolled in a Minnesota educational institution or a resident of Minnesota enrolled in an outofstate program.
- Postsecondary students must be enrolled in a two or fouryear health care degree program with the intention of completing the program.
