Job Description
AS A MATERIAL HANDLER YOU WILL:
- Load and/or unload trucks
- Assist other receiving team members with separating and organizing material
- Put away incoming freight
- Transport and put away finished goods to be shipped
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment
- Maintain safe actions on and off equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson federal state and local provisions
- Meet department quality attendance and productivity requirements
- Assist and train new hires
- Support other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
- Requires selfmotivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must have successfully completed and passed Emersons training on all required equipment which included but is not limited to; forklift cherry picker and triloader
- Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 20 feet wearing fall protection gear
- Must follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and walk/stand/work on concrete for 8 hours
- Ability to use the Hand (RF) scanner effectively and efficiently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
- Previous experience on a standup lift reach truck or triloader
- JDE knowledge
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
