Job Description

Description

AS A MATERIAL HANDLER YOU WILL:

  • Load and/or unload trucks
  • Assist other receiving team members with separating and organizing material
  • Put away incoming freight
  • Transport and put away finished goods to be shipped
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment
  • Maintain safe actions on and off equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson federal state and local provisions
  • Meet department quality attendance and productivity requirements
  • Assist and train new hires
  • Support other departments as needed

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
  • Requires selfmotivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have successfully completed and passed Emersons training on all required equipment which included but is not limited to; forklift cherry picker and triloader
  • Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 20 feet wearing fall protection gear
  • Must follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and walk/stand/work on concrete for 8 hours
  • Ability to use the Hand (RF) scanner effectively and efficiently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Previous experience on a standup lift reach truck or triloader
  • JDE knowledge
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
