The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live work and connect with their community.
Facilities Management plays a crucial role in ensuring that Chesapeake Community Developments commercial and corporate properties remain safe functional and wellmaintained. By overseeing maintenance operations conducting inspections and managing vendor relationships this role directly supports the organizations ability to serve both internal teams and external tenants. Facilities Management ensures that facilities operate efficiently minimizing disruptions and maximizing the longevity of the properties.
The Team Leader Commercial & Corporate Facilities is responsible for coordinating maintenance operations across Chesapeake Community Developments commercial and corporate properties. This includes overseeing a team of Maintenance Technicians ensuring timely and highquality resolution of service tickets conducting inspections managing vendor relationships and supporting facilityrelated projects. The role combines technical knowledge with project coordination and customer service to ensure safe functional and wellmaintained commercial and corporate facilities that support organizational goals and external tenants.
The ideal candidate has handson experience in property maintenance including HVAC plumbing electrical and carpentry work. They should have experience leading maintenance teams managing preventive maintenance schedules and coordinating vendor contracts. Strong organizational problemsolving and communication skills are essential along with the ability to provide excellent customer service and respond effectively to emergency maintenance issues.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED at least three years of experience as a Maintenance Technician and one year of experience coaching or mentoring other Maintenance Technicians. Knowledge of electrical HVAC plumbing and general handyman tasks is required. A valid Maryland Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record is also necessary.
