POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS: This is a fulltime position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Some overtime may be required.
SUMMARY: The Fabricator position is responsible for the daily cutting tying tack welding bending etc. according to rebar/cage drawings. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Identifies size of mesh rebar and/or cages based on rebar/cage drawings.
Cuts pieces of rebar and/or mesh into appropriate sizes to assembly cages per drawings by utilizing a rebar cutter or torch.
Bends rebar and steel to appropriate angles and dimensions per drawings utilizing a rebar bender machine.
Sets up preformed rebar into jig fixtures for assembly.
Ties reinforcing rebar together per specifications with hand tools to ensure reinforced cages for production.
Operates all tools and equipment properly based on safety procedures and specified guidelines.
Ensures reinforcing steel/rebar is set correctly and to the desired quality control standards by doublechecking measurements with tape measure and drawings.
Maintains organized stacks of completed rebar/cages in inventory and delivers cages and finished rebar to production areas as requested.
Cleans working area daily by ensuring excess rebar/steel in picked up and stored away properly.
All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including but not limited to trowels hammers wrenches chisels power tools etc.
Previous wood work experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements.
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The employee may frequently climb ladders.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
