Position Title: Senior Business Analytics Specialist
Location: 929 North Front Street Wilmington NC 28401
Summary of Duties: Provides support for incoming data requests gathers user requirements and designs the functional specifications for analytical reports dashboards or analysis. Develops reports and dashboards from multiple data sources using various software tools and reporting tools to identify and resolve data issues. Assists users with data extrapolation from multiple sources and generates summary data. Develops codes and tests queries and reports against various databases based on userspecified criteria to fulfill user requirements. Develops the scope and design of reports by working closely with the requestors. Applies comprehensive business knowledge and thorough understanding of database structure and capabilities to filter and guide business user requests. Develops guides and conventions to ensure data is entered into key PPD systems databases and/or tools appropriately to ensure consistent and accurate reporting. Delivers and/or supports training to project teams and users on reporting systems and functionality specifically utilizing predefined reports and tools. Duties may be performed remotely.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Digital Sciences Data Science Information Systems or related field and five 5 years of experience in the job offered or as SQL / Power BI Developer Business Intelligence Analyst Database Engineer or related role. Must have five 5 years of experience with: Relational Database and nonrelational database concepts to assist development of analytics reports and dashboards; Data manipulation and presentation tools including SQL Power BI and MS Access; and Dax coding and support of PowerBI dashboard builds. Must have three 3 years of experience with: Utilize data analytics tools such as Power BI to analyze and interpret data trends for consumption by end users; AGILE sprint grooming review and planning and AGILE story point estimation; BI Tools trainer; and BI product/dashboard testing.
