Job Description
Northern Manufacturing a worldwide leader in stainless steel fabrication is seeking a dependable and selfmotivated individual to join our Maintenance team as a Janitor. This position is scheduled for an afternoon/evening shift.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in both shop and office areas.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Respond to urgent janitorial needs as they arise.
- Notify supervisors of major repair issues or hazards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols for cleaning and sanitization.
- Support coworkers across departments and contribute to team efforts.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to stand walk climb ladders and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision color vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent internal customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong team player with a solutionfocused mindset
- Organized and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
- Prior experience in janitorial work preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning safety procedures and protocols
