We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Derby UK. This role is available on both a permanent and locum basis offering flexibility to suit your career preferences.
As a key member of the rheumatology team you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing a wide range of rheumatic conditions while contributing to service development and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highquality care for patients with rheumatological disorders including inflammatory arthritis connective tissue diseases and metabolic bone conditions.
- Lead outpatient rheumatology clinics ensuring comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nurses physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in inpatient consultations and referrals from other specialties.
- Contribute to the teaching and training of junior doctors medical students and allied healthcare staff.
- Engage in clinical governance audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in rheumatology to ensure best practices.
Requirements
Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Rheumatology or equivalent.
Extensive NHS experience in rheumatology.
Strong leadership communication and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
