Job Description
This is a fixed term role for three months (immediate start) to help carry out work associated with the maintenance required on customers sites during planned shutdowns.
Working under instruction of a Tradesman or Supervisor you will complete work required to prepare the plant for shutdown or on the plant shut for maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Supervisor or Tradesman to carry out prescribed maintenance or cleaning work to customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safe working practices; look after yourself and those around you.
- Document all work done on the appropriate work records and complete a timesheet on a daily basis.
- Communicate any breaches of the customer requirements systems or plant issues to a supervisor or manager.
- Utilise resources efficiently and maintain a high level of housekeeping.
- Comply with all site specific HSE requirements & expectations in addition those required by SGSIVE and/or statutory requirements.
- Prior to each new job or commencing work for the day review or complete a JSA and/or work pack and complete and/or update a Hazard ID identifying all hazards
- Comply with all Permit to Work Isolation or Lock Out procedures & policy specific to the place of work.
- Undertake training and customer inductions to enable you to work at SGSIVEs customers sites.
Qualifications :
- Confident to work on industrial sites.
- Displays Mechanical Aptitude.
- Previous work history demonstrates practical ability to work at various tasks using a variety of equipment in different environments.
- Has a Customer Service focus
- Has an organized and efficient approach
- Flexibility and be able to think on ones feet
