Job Description
We are currently seeking a handson enthusiastic Maintenance worker to work on site part time (appx. 20 hours per week) in our Maintenance department.
This exciting opportunity is responsible for:
- Assist maintenance in general building maintenance including light carpentry and plumbing as well as outside property maintenance.
- Maintains building performing minor and routine painting minor repairs and other related maintenance activities.
- Notifies maintenance concerning need for repairs to lighting heating and ventilating equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the exterior of Jewell Instruments such as snow removal from sidewalks sidewalks and maintaining the landscaping.
- Maintain clean and safe work area at all times.
- High School Diploma or equivalentrequired.
- 1 3 years of experiencepreferred but we are willing to train the right entry level candidate.
- Able to withstand constant standing and reaching along with continuous bending squatting and walking as well as frequent kneeling climbing sitting and use of fine motor skills.
- Able to lift 55 pounds frequently lift and carry 25 pounds and work on ladders staging and other related equipment.
- Able to work with minimal supervision work well with others and be a team player.
