Photography Assistant Job Description

Reports to: Content Data Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly/Nonexempt

Position Summary:

The Photography Assistant is responsible for handing and organizing products during photography sessions. This position is also responsible for image acquisition from various online sources and processing images gained directly from manufacturers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the organization of products being photographed before during and after photography sessions.

Unpack and repack product to ensure the product can be put back on the shelf and sold.

Manage products from multiple orders to facilitate efficiency both for the photo process and the return process.

Responsible for accurate image acquisition from various online sources and manufacturers.

Search online for usable images for new products sale flyer items and products related to all upcoming sales.

Process images and ensure they are visible online.

Perform systematic double checks to ensure photographed and processed items are available online.

Notify and escalate all system problems and/or data discrepancies to appropriate Team Member or Department.

Prioritize and plan workload efficiently.

Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures policies training and regulations.

Ensure established policies and procedures are followed.

Participate in continuous improvement project team activities.

Attend company events trade shows and motorsports events serve as a representative of the company.

Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other jobrelated equipment and software specifically Excel required.

General computer software and online browser knowledge required.

Excellent organization ability with superior attention to detail required.

Photoshop/Post processing experience preferred.

Experience/Interest in photography preferred.

Basic knowledge of digital image format preferred.

Automotive knowledge preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively (clear and concise) through writing speaking active listening and presentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organization skills and detailoriented with exceptional critical thinking multitasking and problemsolving abilities.

Excellent time management.

Ability to work both independently within a team and crossfunctionally with other departments/stakeholders.

Excellent problemsolving skills and sound judgment.

Ability to develop and foster business relationships.

Willing to participate in company designated training.

Must have knowledge of and comply with the policies and procedures contained in the company handbook.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Must be able to practice safe work habits.

Physical Demands:

This is an office type position that requires sitting standing walking stooping kneeling and use of hands. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
