Job Description
Join Our Team as an Elementary Teacher at St Joseph Academy!
Teachers will:
- Teach courses to a dual grade level classroom three days per week.
- Communicate lessons to parents on homeschooling days two days per week.
- Maintain a joyful and well ordered learning environment.
- Attend daily Mass and adoration with students.
- Assist in assigned duties throughout the school day such as dropoff pickup lunch and recess.
- Help lead periodic nature study adventures
- Attend faculty meetings retreats student conferences and professional development as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A deep commitment to our Catholic faith and our schools mission
- Experience working with elementary age students
- A bachelors degree in a related field
- The ability to prepare lessons according to a classical pedagogy that inspire wonder and joy
- The desire to engage in ongoing learning and to share a vibrant educational life with a faculty of friends
- A background in Montessori education is preferred
