Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Used Inventory Analyst supports the Operations Manager of Used Boats and ATVs in overseeing the companys used boat and ATV inventory processes ensuring accuracy efficiency and profitability. This role is responsible for analyzing sales trends tracking inventory performance pricing recommendations and assisting with purchasing remarketing and operational strategies to optimize inventory turnover and maximize profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports inventory control ensuring accurate records efficient turnover and optimal stocking levels for used boats and ATVs.
  • Monitors and evaluates used power sports inventory performance identifying trends and providing datadriven recommendations for pricing and remarketing strategies.
  • Assists in executing sales plans to meet or exceed financial objectives.
  • Conducts market research and competitive analysis to ensure pricing remains aligned with industry trends and customer demand.
  • Utilizes reports and analytics tools to track sales profitability and aging inventory working to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Assists with the evaluation purchasing and trading of used power sports inventory to maintain a profitable product mix.
  • Supports the Operations Manager in developing and implementing training programs related to TMBC TradeIn processes and procedures for dealership outfitters.
  • Ensures compliance with federal state and local regulations regarding used power sports sales and inventory management.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to optimize remarketing efforts and enhance sales opportunities.
  • Provides insights and recommendations for operational improvements to support business growth.
  • This position requires alternating weekend coverage with a minimum of two weekends per month and a flexible schedule to accommodate retail business demands.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelors Degree in Business Finance or related field (if applicable)
  • Certificate(s) or License(s):
  • Years of experience: : 2 years in inventory management retail analytics or used power sports/boating industry experience.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop strategic insights.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to establish strong working relationships with vendors internal teams and dealership outfitters.
  • Experience with inventory control systems and pointofsale databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the used boating and power sports industry is a plus.
  • Must be a team player with a flexible schedule driven by retail business demands.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Up to 20 travel to auction sites and facility locations as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly sits and does computer work.

Occasionally walks and stands.

Seldom/Never lifts up to 50 lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT: (Select the option that best applies)

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
