Berks Counseling Center is a recoveryoriented behavioral health physical health and supportive services organization providing a holistic approach to a culturally and economically diverse population for the purpose of achieving a healthy and productive lifestyle.
As a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor (LCSW LPC LMFT) you will be responsible for providing integrated treatment supporting the needs of both behavioral and physical health care to clients admitted to Berks Counseling Center. This would include clinical treatment modalities and supporting documentation.
You will:
- Provide screening assessment and evaluation of potential clients.
- Provide individual group and/or family counseling at the main office or school setting.
- Effectively assess client treatment needs and develop a comprehensive individualized integrated treatment plan.
- Utilize collaborative documentation to complete clinical documentation that meets compliance standards medical necessity guidelines and agency standards as to timeliness and accuracy of documentation.
- Maintain standard direct service hours.
- Actively participate in individual supervision and clinical team meetings.
To qualify for the position you will need to have
- An active PA LCSW LPC LMFT.
- Counseling experience in mental health and/or drug and alcohol required.
Preferred candidates will
- Have experience working with adolescents preferred.
- Have knowledge of or experience with traumainformed approaches preferred.
- Be bilingual English & Spanish.
Physical Requirements
SEEING: Must be able to see well enough to read reports and use computer.
COMMUNICATING: Must be able to communicate to clients vendors and coworkers.
MOBILITY: Must have mobility to move about the agency.
LIFTING/PUSING/PULLING: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
OTHER: Must be able to write type and use technology.

- Receipt of results of a satisfactory drug and alcohol screening test.
- Receipt of the originals of the following background checks: PA State Police Criminal History PA State Child Abuse and DPW FBI Criminal History. These clearances must be valid within the 60 months prior to employment. A conviction is not a bar to employment; however a review will be conducted to make a determination of employment should a conviction be present.
- Receipt of original documentation and verification of relevant degrees diplomas certificates or licensure.
- Confirmation that you are not on the OIG Federal Healthcare Program Exclusion from Participation list. Should you appear on this list Berks Counseling Center is prohibited from employing you.
