About the role

This is a permanent opportunity starting with a threeyear customised graduate development program. You will work alongside seasoned professionals and gain exposure across our corporate offices bauxite mines and alumina refineries based in the Peel and Upper Southwest regions. What youll be doing

As a Graduate Chemist at Alcoa you to learn grow and develop handson experience and expertise in:

• Learn the intricacies of the Bayer process one of the industrys most complicated chemical processes.

• Be mentored by industry experts as you have access to our global technical centre of excellence based on site.

• Develop and implement chemical methods and instrumental analytical techniques.

• Take an active role in laboratory safety management.

• Work collaboratively on laboratory and refinery based investigative and improvement projects.

• Utilise your understanding of chemical processes to identify process improvement opportunities.

Development and mentoring

Throughout the program you will be provided with:

• coaching mentoring handson and professional training.

• diverse experiences; from working in our corporate offices to a local onsite environment plus global exposure to our 3 mine sites and 5 alumina refineries.

About you

If you are on the path to graduate by the end of 2025 or have recently completed tertiary qualifications in Chemistry or a related discipline we want to hear from you!

Recruitment Process
