Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Fire Alarm Inspector to perform inspections testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to verify compliance with NFPA and local regulations.
Document all inspection findings and maintain accurate test reports.
Identify system deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Communicate findings with customers explaining any issues and potential solutions.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of work orders and documentation.
Stay current with industry standards codes and technical advancements.
Maintain tools equipment and company vehicle in good working condition.
Follow OSHA and company safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional relationships.
Collaborate with team members and follow directives from supervisors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in fire alarm inspection (preferred).
Certifications & Licenses:
NICET I (Fire Alarm Systems or Fire Alarm Test & Inspect) required.
NICET II (Fire Alarm Systems or Fire Alarm Test & Inspect) preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency with basic hand tools.
Strong mechanical electrical and technical aptitude.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot fire alarm system issues.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Willingness to travel between job sites as needed.
