Job Description

The Counseling Ministries Department is housed in the School of Psychology and Counseling. It offers three degree programs (M.A. in Human Services M.A. in Pastoral Counseling and Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychological Studies) all of which are online.The Ph.D. program is a nonlicensure program that draws students from around the world to develop their skill set within the context of a Christian paradigm and worldview. Faculty who can articulate counseling and psychological studies through the lens of the Christian tradition are essential in carrying out the mission of the school and the university.

Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Counseling Psychology Pastoral Care or related educational accredited program a clear professional identity and licensure as a mental health professional. The ideal candidates will be able to teach across the Counseling Ministries department curriculum although their primary responsibility will reside in the Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychological Studies program. Preference will be given to experience teaching statistics and research at the doctoral level.

Expectations include 1 a dedication to Christcentered teaching and learning; 2 a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 3 the ability to teach graduatelevel courses; 4 facility with online instructional technology; and 5 a willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
