Job Description
Were hiring ageneral carpenterfor oneofakind highend residential projects. Dowbuilt carpentershave midtoadvanced level carpentry skills and at least four years experience in the industry. This position offers an opportunity to be a part of oneofakind architecturally significant builds and grow their career alongside colleagues who are dedicated to the highest levels of craftsmanship and quality.
WHAT YOULL DO
As a general carpenter youll be responsible for:
- Performing and assisting with general carpentry tasks including but not limited to:
- Structural wood/steel framing
- Siding window and door installation
- Hardware prep and installation
- Site cleanup/protection
- Establishing and maintaining work task deadlines with the superintendent or foreman
- Supporting subcontractors as directed by the superintendent or foreman
- Working well and coordinating with other team members
- Identifying when other workers or subcontractors are not working in a safe manner and reporting unsafe practices to the foreman or superintendent
- Possible Interisland travel
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful as a Dowbuilt carpenter youll need:
- 4 years of highend residential carpentry experience
- The following skills:
- Broad range of rough carpentry skills from framing up to finish work (finish skills are a huge plus!
- Working with full complement of basic tools and specialty tools
- Laying out and setting concrete forms
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings
- Work at elevated heights in confined spaces and in inclement weather
- Estimating and communicating small material needs to superintendent or foreman
- Familiarity with a variety of building materials
- Knowledge of safety and health procedures for location (ongoing training will be provided)
- Knowledge of proper use of tools and equipment
- Excellent communication teambuilding and mentoring skills
- Abilityto anticipate and troubleshoot problems
- Ability to follow direction and perform work as designated
- Motivation dependabilityand trustworthiness
- U.S. work authorization

The compensation range for this position is $35.00 $48.00 per hour
