Job Description
Transportation Shop Foreman
PC# 2650
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent; Associates/Technical degree preferred. Minimum five years experience as diesel and/or auto mechanic; ASE certifications including diagnostic skills preferred. Minimum two years supervisory experience preferred. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered for comparability. Must hold or obtain within six months from hire a valid Class B commercial drivers license with P and S endorsements and a valid Alabama School Bus Drivers certificate. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Computer Literate. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to: Transportation Coordinator
Job Goal: To supervise the daily activities of vehicle repair and maintenance to ensure proper performance and safety of all system vehicles.
