Job Description
Weekly outpatient therapy isnt always enough and a trip to the ER isnt the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis every day wehelp people overcome depression anxiety suicidality obsessions/compulsions trauma chronic pain and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
We are seeking an experienced clinician with a passion for delivering evidencebased therapy to children struggling with mental illness. If you are passionate about working with patients to communicate develop and carry out appropriate treatment plans and compassionate care you would be an ideal addition to our team.
As a Program Therapist you will engage with Compass patients and families providing both individual and family therapy within our child and adolescent programs. Youll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy sessions collaborating with patients outpatient teams leading family therapy sessions and guiding patients through their overall treatment program. Youll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams including Group Therapists and Psychiatry Team Member to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.

What Youll Do
- Role function will be dedicated to Family Therapy and Primary Therapy based on census and program needs
- Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as other evidencebased therapies
- Meet with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning
- Providing guidance and support to patients and family members to help promote goals and encourage patients progress through the program
- Coordinate care with patients individual providers to ensure continuity of care
- Assess patients progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
- Conducts assessments and consults with intake clinicians to aid in determining appropriateness of fit for patients
- Communicate with patients family members or support system when indicated
- Complete initial intake evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriateness for program as needed
- Chart in our electronic medical records system
- Engage in crisis management as part of a treatment team
- Create and update treatment plans
- Participate in professional development activities
Who You Are
- Hold the following licenses or certifications in the state of Illinois is preferred: LCSW LCPC LMFT PsyD or PhD with 2 years of clinical experience conducting individual and/or family therapy.
- The ability to assist families and patients in talking about difficult topics is a necessity.
- Excellent time management skills ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment.

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including but not limited to your years of experience type of experience location and education/certifications.
