Make your mark for patients
We are looking for aPatent Paralegalwho is detailoriented organized and collaborative to join ourIntellectual Property teambased in ourHQ in Anderlecht Belgium.
About the Role
As a Patent Paralegal you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth administration of our patent portfolio. Your expertise in managing deadlines and legal formalities will be essential to protecting the companys innovations and driving its success.
Who Youll Work With
You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team working closely with attorneys colleagues across locations and external partners like IP agents. Together youll contribute to maintaining and strengthening our global intellectual property portfolio.
What Youll Do
- Coordinate with attorneys and colleagues to identify and manage filing deadlines
- Prepare and file patent documents including Power of Attorney and Assignments on time
- Handle patent filings through EPO UKIPO and PCT online tools
- Communicate with foreign agents for filings validations and official patent actions
- Track and update deadlines using the Memotech docketing system
- Support ad hoc patent formalities and contribute to team discussions
Interested For this role were looking for the following education experience and skills:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a patent paralegal role or similar
- Knowledge of patent databases like Memotech and electronic filing systems is a plus
- Proficiency in online filing tools (e.g. EPO PCT UK filings)
- Strong organizational skills and experience working with strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment
