Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Lead features and Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Mentor and help junior associates to complete features
- Design robust solutions
- Creates secure and highquality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Proficient in modern UI development using React Angular or other frameworks.
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining codeusing Java Spring/Spring Boot in Microservices Application.
- Handson practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Experience working with databases like Oracle PostgreSQL SQL Server MySQL MongoDB or Cassandra and messaging frameworks like MQ and Kafka
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Experience deploying applications to the cloud using AWS Azure or CloudFoundry with experience in creating and maintaining containers with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Customer focus excellent problem solving and analytical skills with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently plan organize prioritize and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern frontend technologies
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Strong understanding of OOP & SOA principles design patterns industry best practices.
- Knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture (AWS experience is preferred) microservice architecture and related stacks
