Purpose:
CEEW seeks tohire a Research Analyst & Coordinator for the Foresight Team. Foresightmanages most of CEEWs national and international government and institutionalrelationships through partnerships projects and research. It tracks thegeopolitics of energy security and transition sustainable developmentgovernance and trade of critical resources and multilateralism. The ForesightTeam comprises the CEO and his staff (Executive Assistants to the CEO andResearch Analyst/s) the Head New Initiatives Engagement Lead/s and one ormore Research Analyst & Coordinator/s.
Foresightinteracts with highlevel officials of the Union government embassies anddiplomatic missions and senior members of industry and multilateral agencies.The RA&C will work on select major projects including their relatedinternal and external relationships activities and research. The split of coreresearch to coordination (project and people engagements) would be 70:30. Theresearch will draw from organisational sources as well as government andthirdparty content and cover allsectors of CEEWs work along with national and international energyclimate and governance policy developments.
This willinclude:
Primary and secondary research and preparing memos/issuebriefs/reports on subjects like the geopolitics global governance and tradeand value chains of key resources including renewables green hydrogen fossilfuels and critical minerals industrial decarbonisation just energytransition and circular economy.
Taking CEEWs research to key stakeholders and taking their inputson how CEEWs work can inform national and international energy resource andclimate strategies and policies.
Working with external stakeholders and internal teams to plan anddeliver strategic convenings such as roundtables related to the research.
Supporting the Head New Initiatives work on major longtermactivities such as the G20 and Quad Country Desks and the Context Lab.
Job Duties and Accountabilities
Research
Track political business andtechnologyrelated developments on energy industry the environment anddevelopmental pathways of India in the context of national prioritiesinternational governance trade finance and socioeconomic dimensions. Thisincludes tracking CEEWs sectoral research and publications to connect the dotsbetween CEEWs work and the global scenario.
Write policy memos issue briefs and reports based on primary and officialsecondary sources including CEEWs research and when required inconsultation with sectoral teams.
Bepart of the Head New Initiatives engagements withhigh level government officials industry captains multilateral organisationsand other institutional stakeholders.
Prepare briefing notes and minutes of meetings conduct pre andpostengagement followups and build and nurture cordial mutually rewardingrelationships with stakeholders.
As decided in consultationwith the Head New Initiatives engage in deeper research projectsparticularly on geopolitics energy and climate governance and internationalnegotiations.
Stakeholdercoordination
Sustain and evolve stakeholderrelationships with regular meetings and communication of CEEWs activities.
Develop and manage thedelivery of stakeholder interactions such as roundtables and webinars.
Coordinate with internalteams from a place of thorough research understanding of the context andprofessional poise.
Own work management
Intelligentlymanage content using Googlebased email calendar and Drive systems and CEEWhashtags.
Strictly follow CEEWs SOPs for activities and publications andinculcate that in collaborators.
Meet deadlines as decided with the manager on time and in fulli.e. v1 of the work should not require formatting or primary corrections. Onlycontentlevel edits and updates should be needed for v2.
Arrive for meetings in good time with full preparation includingIT systems and documents.
Selection Criteria
Education
Minimum Masters degree with specialisation in energysustainability or international relations
Main skills
