About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Post Surgical Services & Neuroscience Unit to lead two critical departments within a reputable acute care hospital. This seniorlevel role is ideal for a Registered Nurse leader with a proven track record in acute care settings who thrives in managing multidisciplinary teams and driving patientcentered outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee operations of the PostSurgical and Neuroscience Units
Ensure delivery of highquality safe and appropriate nursing care
Manage staffing training and development of clinical staff
Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Develop departmental goals budgets policies and procedures
Provide clinical leadership mentorship and foster professional growth
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of excellence
Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for nursing personnel
Serve as a key member of the leadership team reporting directly to the CNO
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university (BSN preferred)
Masters Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is highly preferred
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact state license)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Healthcare Certified Safety Supervisor (HCSS) certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital
Minimum 8 years of management and leadership experience preferred
Proven leadership skills and ability to manage complex hospital operations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
